注染染めは布に模様をつける日本の染色技法の一つです。
布の染めない部分に型紙で糊を付け乾燥後に染める部分に土手を作り
その土手の内側に染料を注いで布を染めた手拭生地です。
Chusen dyeing is a traditional Japanese dyeing techniques for making patterns on cloth.
It is created by glueing a paper pattern onto the un-dyed part of the cloth creating a bank on the part to be dyed after it has dried.
By pouring dye on the inside of this bank, the traditional hand towel patter is created.
